May and June
by Halley Platz
In the not-so-distant future, when scientists know more about human compatibility than ever before, there exists a simulated reality experience as common as airpods at today where you can meet your soulmate before you meet them in real life. Your memory will be erased right after your interaction, but you will remember it happened and be ready to face life knowing you won't be alone at some point.
This is the story of two people-- May and June-- and their experience meeting each other in this simulation. A love story about connection, expectations, hope, simulation, and stimulation in the most isolated yet digital of ages.
